People do whatever they can nowdays to be part of the crowd, even talk trash about the nicest people. Everyday of our lives we are surrounded by people gossiping, and it is annoying. They can't seem to say one nice thing about someone; everything is negative. Why are people like that? Why are we so critical of one another? It is the biggest pain to walk down the halls at school and hear people saying, well so and so did this. It makes me want to smack them, especially when I know who they're talking about and know that it's not true. I think one of the reasons is because people want to be "cool," and fit in and in order to do that they talk trash about someone that they know is not in on things. Doing things like that isn't nice in any way, shape, or form and all you are doing is hurting someone, but the thing is things like that can turn around all the time and next that someone could be you. If being popular and fitting in wasn't a big issue today then maybe the false rumors wouldn't either.
