Everyday I see people smoking or doing some other drug and I wonder, what causes them to do it in the first place. Why do people continue to do things that they know are bad for them? From the time we are young our parents and teachers teach us the consequences of doing drugs. They can say that they didn't know it would cause such a huge problem, but there's no way they can deny knowing that there would be risks.
Almost everything I walk outside, I inhale smoke because my neighbors smoke. When I inhale the smoke, I can't help but wonder what happened to them in the past to make them start drugs. To me it almost seems like they don't even care, which is sad. There's nothing you can do to change their past choices, but you can help make a difference for people in the future. If people know more fully the conseqences of their actions, then just maybe we will see less and less people doing drugs.
