Serious People
A lot of times when I'm talking to someone that I don't know really well and they make a comment then I reply with a sarcastic answer. When I do that more than half the time somebody thinks that I'm being serious and it's really annoying. Which brings me to the point, why in the world can't people tell the difference between sarcastic and serious? Most of the time I think the reason is because they don't really know me all that well, but honestly, can't you pick out sarcasm in a person's voice. There are also times when the same thing happens with my friends and family so there's probably a lot more to it then meets the eye. If people can't learn how to take a joke then we're in for a pretty scary future.

I am with you all the way! I really feel your pain! I hate it when you are the one who said the sarcastic thing and the person does not get it so it's a really stiff conversation. On the other hand I hate it when I am the person who can't tell if they are joking or not so you don't know if you should be sarcastic back or what.
